11:07 am - a decision
Hey everyone. I have a decision I am trying to make and I want as much input as I can get. I'm thinking about dying my hair black. It's already brown but I think I wanna go black with it.

Do yall think I should? My hair is getting long but its not where I want it yet. So if I do dye it, should I do it now or when it gets a little longer?

current mood: contemplative

5:15 pm - Need Trucks
Hey everyone.

So you all saw what happened to my skateboard in a previous post. So if anyone knows where I can get some cheap trucks, I'd be appreciative. Or if you anyone out there knows anyone who has a spare set they'd wanna get rid of for free or cheap, lemme know.

2:09 pm - Skateboarding and Jesus
Just something I need to get out... for myself.

I know a lot of people think I'm weird because I'm almost 25 and I still skate but to me it calms me. It's honestly like a euphoric experience for me. It's one of the few times when I can clear my mind and focus and not think about the problems of my life. I used to be into Buddhism so meditating was my way back then to do it. And now, I dunno, I just don't feel comfortable meditating.

So when I skate or play hackeysack or play basketball, it calms me and in some ways, I think, puts me in touch with God. I feel such a peace from Jesus when I'm doing these things.

So that's why I skate :-)

Hallelujah.

1:36 pm - a forward i received
I found it pretty interesting. Thought you guys might too...

IRAQ - VERY INTERESTING - DID YOU KNOW?

1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!

3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.

10. Amos cried out in Iraq!

11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!

13. The three Hebrew children we! re in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had
been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.

17. The wise men were from Iraq.

18. Peter preached in Iraq

19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called
Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia.
The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly
between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant
coun! try in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy
associated it than Iraq.

1:27 pm - Updates
Well first things first. Hurricane Ivan dumped massive amounts of rain on my area: the Ohio river Valley and guess what. We FLOODED. Good thing I live uptown Weirton and not farther downtown. It was completely flooded. Happy's was up to it's roof. That's a lot of water. So thank God that it wasn't worse than it was. Everyone please keep the victims in your prayers!!!

Second, yesterday (man that's a funny looking word) I bought tony hawk pro skater 2 (yay!! make my own skaters), blindside's silence album and 12 stones' new album. Both albums are totally awesome. Circuit city also had blindside's first two albums, blindside and a thought crushed my mind. But I didn't buy those yet. Are they any good?? Lemme know.

God bless everyone!!

10:42 am - These are the days of our lives
Last night me and my best friend Travis were driving around and talking about how much we have changed since we were younger and yet how we've stayed the same. I pointed out how we used to be so rebellious and arrogant (thought we had all the answers) and how now it seems we are assimilating into "mainstream culture."

Like we used to be so idealistic and I mean we still ARE but in different ways. We're idealistic and REALISTIC at the same time. When we were like 18 and 19 years old, we thought there was only one way to do things and that we were gonna do what we wanted to do and that was it. Now we are seeing the bigger picture. He just graduated from Bethany and is gonna be going to Law School next year. So it's like really wild!

And with me I was never a very religious person. I quit going to church when I was 11. And then around 17 I started getting involved in a search for, what I deemed, "The Truth." Like it's some far away and removed entity that requires intense delving to find. And the whole time it's right in front of us.

And so now I've become like totally enamored by Christianity and discovering my relationship with God and Jesus and it's totally amazing because it's where I never pictured myself.

And like I said we are verging into this "mainstream culture" but we are still remaining OURSELVES. Like yeah I go to Church (well still trying to find one that I completely am comfortable with) but I'm not gonna change who I am comfortable AS. I'll go and be dressed nice but I'm not gonna change my style of clothes. I still wear baggy clothes, even to Church :-)

But more about that in another post haha.

12:28 am - Just a post
1) I thrashed my skateboard the other day. One of the trucks broke so now I need new ones or no skating for a while. Yuck!!

2) I want to thank the Lord for remaining with me lately. I've had my doubts and mind changes etc and He has remained by my side. Thank you so much, God!!

3) I hope everyone out there is doing well. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

10:36 am - Yesterday
I'm so excited. Yesterday I got a new pendant for my necklace. It's a Jesus Fish and it's like all the colors of the rainbow and says Jesus in the middle. I've always wanted to get one. I know, I'm dorky right :-)

I think that's all I have to talk about right now. Later on, folks!!

3:15 pm - my family is so weird (old post from old journal)
so i'm talking to my mother the other day and we got to talking about her wedding and stuff... and she said she had a methodist wedding... so i said "wait, cris (my stepdad) is greek orthodox and you're baptist... why did you have a methodist wedding?"

and she says "we're not baptist." (just a little note: i'm not any denomination but i thought i was raised baptist; keep reading) i said "then what are we? we always went to calvary baptist church." she said "we're nazarene... you were baptized nazarene and also sprinkled pentecost." so i said "you mean those weird people who do all that crazy stuff?" (no offense to any pentecostals out there)... she said "yeah, they speak in tongues and stuff... you're aunts (actually they're my great aunts) jackie and iris are pentecostals." to this i replied "yeah? i'm actually not surprised to hear that." (if you knew them, they are kinda weird so its not surprise)... and then my mother says "yeah you're a nazarene... where do you think the name Joshua comes from? its a nazarene name." and so i laughed and said "well Joshua's a biblical name... i didnt know it had anything to do with nazarenes or whatever."

so a recap... i was baptized nazarene... sprinkled pentecost (whatever the heck that means)... raised in a baptist church... and my mother, who is nazarene, married a man, who is greek orthodox, in a methodist wedding!

my family is so weird...

2:37 pm - my so-called life
Well my girlfriend and I have broken up.... for good. We just decided that it wasn't gonna work out. Oh well. We had too much different. She wanted to go out with friends ALL THE TIME and I was content with being a homebody most of the time. Going out is ok, but her friends were VERY scandalous so I didn't like to hang out with them. Anyhow.

So now I think I'm just gonna date people who are more like me. So I'm looking for someone who's faith is at the center of their life. I honestly think it would be better for me to date a good Christian girl. Someone who knows how to have fun with NO DRAMA :-)

So if any of my friends know anyone smart, funny and attractive Christian girls who are single, holla at me :-)

I figure anything is worth a try because a lot of the girls I run into around here are the exact opposite of what I am looking for.

In other words, I had a weird dream last night. I had a dream someone cracked the Bible code found in the Old Testament and uncovered the "secret name" of YHWH that Jewish Kabalists have been trying to figure out for like centuries or whatever. In the dream the person told me the name. I don't remember it though. I don't think he really told me. I just think in the dream it was UNDERSTOOD that he told me. But it was REALLY long haha.

Peace kiddies.

10:55 am - Plans
Yesterday my girlfriend came down and we went and did laundry (tons of fun might I add). After that we went up my Uncle's house and I hung out with my Uncle and my lil' cousins while she talked to my Aunt most of the day. My Cousin Justin and I skated and played hackeysack until I got to the point where I didn't wanna even move anymore haha.

My girl is coming down in a little bit and we are going up to Wal*Mart because they are having an all-day Xian concert in the parking lot. Supposed to be like 10 Bands performing. Hopefully it will be GOOD music and not that boring make-me-fall-asleep kind. Because if that happens, I'll just leave and go to the mall or something haha.

I'll let yall know how it turned out.

Peace kiddies!

God bless!!
